Corrosion

Worthless things are coveted,
And death brings life.
Healing hurts more
Repentance is repeated.
Damage brings repair.
Treasure is in the streets,
But nobody notices
And so the rich starve.
Truth masquerades as lies.
Despair is strung outside
Covered in flashing lights.
Thoughts control their maker.
Seeking everywhere an exit,
Where the answer is deeper in.
Young die old;
Heart disease,
Where heart and spirit are intertwined.
Crying out for help
With fingers in my ears,
Afraid at the sound
Of help or hope.
